Rafael Nadal won the 2019 US Open tournament by defeating world No. 5, Russian player Daniil Medvedev in one of the toughest match of the US Open tournament. In four hours and fifty minutes, 5 sets match, played at Arthur Ashe Stadium (NewYork),  Rafael Nadal won by  7-5, 6-3, 5-7, 4-6, 6-4.

This was Daniil Medvedev’s first grand slam final, but he had given a very hard time to Rafa by winning 3rd and 4th set. However, resilient(Strong to recover) Rafa fought back and with support of his backhand, won the fifth set.

This is Rafa’s fourth United States Open title and 19th grand slam title. Rafa is now only one title away from equaling Roger Federer’s record. This world no.2, 33 yrs old, Spanish player has won 12 French Opens, 2 Wimbledons, 1 Australian Open and now 4 US Opens.
